Harrison Galaxy

Harrison is an animated pop star. Three of his promos have been directed by Ed Hartwell. (Don't Be A) Dinosaur, Suffer and Aliens.

Ed also produced two computer games and the artwork for a Harrison single, an EP, an album, T-Shirts, badges, Posters and activity sheets.

The Movieum Animation

A 2D animation made for the London Film Museum (Movieum) to play on screens outside the ticket office by the London Eye to entice visitors into the museum in county Hall.

The animation features animated photos of the exhibits coming to life. Watch it here

Cannes in a Van Animations

Cannes in a Van is a mobile film festival that takes British films to the Cannes film festival every year and projects them from the back of their yellow van. Ed made three animations for the van, this is used as branding in screenings between films and as an intro to the Cannes in a Van online video diary.

Ed was commissioned by Waterwise to make two commercials for Mayor of London promoting saving water.

Funky Munky Ringtone Commercials

Ed worked with directors Yoshimi and Katoi as a model builder and puppeteer to create a number of ringtone adverts for Jamster. Each featuring the Funky Munky character in different situations. From the surface of the moon in Space Man to the football world cup in Do it for England.

Übermanoeuvre - War (ain't what it used to be)
& This Is Happening

Two music videos directed by Ed Hartwell for the band Übermanoeuvre. War makes use of live action footage of the band mixed with stop-motion paper cut-out animation. This is happening uses gig footage and spinning footage animated to spin back on itself for a dizzying experience.

Tax Me Gordon One More Time

Music video directed by Ed Hartwell for comedy musician Lawrence Francis. The video is shot Guerrilla style following a banker turned busker around London singing a Britney Spears parody about the credit crunch.

Funky Munky Music Video

Ed built and pupeteered the main character in this innovative puppet video. Three puppet bodies with interchangeable heads were needed so Funky Munky could perform a wide variety of tasks.
